Quizlet is a website for students to make flashcards in order to aid them in studying. Students can also access flashcards that have already been made by other students! Students can make "study groups" with other students in their classroom and, using the chat feature, can study together. There are five different, fun ways to study: Familiarize Mode (helps you become familiar with the material), Learn Mode (keeps track of your scores, retests incorrect answers), Test Mode (short-answer, matching, multiple choice and true/false testing with feedback!) and Scatter and Space Race, which are both study games.
Quizlet is a website for teachers to share study material with their classes. Teachers can moderate study groups and can also have access to study guides by other teachers--to get ideas of what other teachers are teaching in their classrooms.
How can Quizlet be utilized in the schools?
Students can make their own flashcards as a study tool for tests and quizzes. This is important, especially at a young age, because children can begin developing good study skills.
Teachers can use this tool to publish study guides for their students. By publishing study guides online, students become acclimated with using the internet as a study tool.
Through the use of the "study groups" feature, students can collaborate with other students in the study process. There are "protective features" on the site to prevent unknown persons from entering a study group.
